Our central office is located just south of I-80 approximately fifty minutes from Peoria, one hour from the Quad Cities, one & one-quarter hours from Bloomington-Normal, and one & one-half hours from Rockford and the western suburbs. We employ seven school psychologists, each serving an average total student population of under 930. Psychologists report to a supervising school psychologist and our close-knit team consults regularly. The psychologist is an integral part of each building team, along with a social worker and coordinator. Job duties include: Active participation on problem-solving teams to develop interventions, conduct screenings, and monitor student progress; Psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of having a disability; Recommendation of data-based interventions; Consultation regarding individual and systems-level programs and supports; Direct service and/or special projects as appropriate; and Provision of inservice training as needed.
