Duties include:

• Complete appropriate psychoeducational assessments for children who have or are suspected of having a disability.

• Identify and assess the learning, development, and adjustment characteristics and needs of individuals and groups, as well as, the environmental factors that affect learning and adjustment. Uses assessment data about the student and his/her environment(s) in developing appropriate interventions and programs.

• Schedule and create invitations for initial evaluations, domain, and individual planning meetings.

• Facilitate special education annual review, domain meetings and individual planning meetings.

• Respond to parent and teacher requests for evaluations in accordance with Illinois law.

• Maintain compliance in accordance with Illinois special education law.

• Consult and collaborate with teachers, case managers, and service providers.

• Compile and submit completed paperwork from special education annual reviews, initial evaluations, and transition meetings.

• Facilitate spring benchmark process using aimswebPlus.

• Analyze and compile aimsweb and MAP data for spring data meetings.

• Attend and take notes for all grades 4-5 transition meetings.

• Facilitate all PreK-KG and KG-1st grade transition meetings.

• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education, Building Principal, or Superintendent.
