Denise Holck
Denise Holck has worked for Bi-County Special Education Cooperative in Sterling, IL since 1998. Among the many accomplishments listed in her letters of support, Denise has initiated a “lunch bunch” program for students with Asperger’s Syndrome and other students with social skills deficits. She is involved in an RTI “trainer of trainers” model and has also played a large role in helping her cooperative establish more specific guidelines to determine eligibility for students with developmental delays. As her direct supervisor wrote, “Not only does she excel on a daily basis while in the field, but she has also taken the initiative to be the ‘glue’ to my School Psychology Department as a whole.” Another colleague wrote, “Denise often thinks outside the box in coming up with innovative ideas to help with students’ success.” Denise is a leader in her profession and currently serves as co-chair of the ISPA Convention Committee.
