Anthony was not well known to me when I became a Regional Director, taking on a leadership role after years of absence. However, I soon came to respect and appreciate his leadership skills, the breadth of his knowledge, his intellect, the strength of his commitment, his passion, and his sense of humor, quirky though it may be at times. As President-Elect, and now as President, I have benefitted immensely from his counsel, experience, and mentoring. Anthony has an enviable and impressive level of dedication and commitment to our profession, manifested in an extensive history of leadership with both ISPA and NASP, having served as a regional director for NASP, and currently being responsible for the NASP Summer Institute. He has served as ISPA President twice and is currently the ISPA Immediate Past President. As a member of the ISPA Convention Committee, he is responsible for the ISPA Fall Conference and Convention workshops. I can think no one more worthy of the 2011 Presidential Award.
