Amy is in her second year at Beardstown CUSD #15 in Beardstown Illinois. She was supported in her nomination by a wide range of professionals with whom she has worked for the past two years. Among these were special education teachers and aides, a social worker and a speech language pathologist. Prominent in their support of Amy were consistent comments that Amy is a true professional with a great deal of knowledge and expertise which she freely shares with others. She is well liked by the students and staff with whom she works and is described as warm and friendly. Amy relates well with parents, especially in sharing information with them.
