Laurie is currently the Coordinator for Response to Intervention for the Waukegan Public Schools. Her training and leadership skills have been praised by her colleagues. She is reportedly always available for consultation. She has been one of the point people for I-ASPIRE in Waukegan, and has been widely praised for her mentorship of staff at all levels in the RtI process. Her colleagues describe her as a “positive change agent.” Laurie’s knowledge about special education procedures is described as excellent, and she has also been described as a great “team player”
