The ISPA convention committee is soliciting workshop presenters for the annual conference. Any presentation that is of interest to school psychologists is appropriate for committee review. Three types of presentation formats are available for this year’s conference:
Mini-Skills Workshops: This format is designed for presenters to teach specific skills to audience members. Mini-skill workshops are scheduled in 110 minute time blocks.
Papers: Paper presentations may cover a wide range of topics related to the profession of school psychology. Papers are allotted a 50 minute time block.
Posters: Poster sessions are an informal format for presenting research data or highlighting innovative practice/programs. Although this format is available to all presenters, graduate students who wish to present their thesis data are the target audience of this presentation format.
Proposal Submission Requirements: Those interested in presenting must submit
BOTH (a) a 25 to 50 word abstract of their presentation, including the presenter’s name, address, phone number, e-mail, and place of employment, suitable for printing in the conference program, and (b) a one to two page description of the presentation. Both of these documents must be submitted for committee review. You must also clearly indicate which of the above presentation formats you are submitting.
Presenters must clearly state who will serve as the contact person for future communications, as acknowledgement of acceptance, etc. will only be forwarded to one contact person.Audio-visual equipment provided by the committee will only include an overhead projector and screen. All other audio-visual equipment must be provided by the presenter.PROPOSALS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2010.
ANY PROPOSALS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE REVIEWED.
All those submitting proposals will be notified regarding acceptance no later than December 6, 2010.
